Yosef Ben Yerivs[]

Yosef Ben Yerivs (born 1960) is and Israeli born co-writer of the Goal! series of books. He was born in Tel Aviv, Israel but grew up in Haifa, where he had an apprenticeship as a carpenter.

He studied English at "Technion – Israel Institute of Technology". During Conscription, he came out as gay, becoming the fifty sixth known homosexual man in the Israeli Military.

In an interview in 2009, Yerivs said that he "wished that he had a trial with Maccabi Tel Aviv or Maccabi Haifa" and urged young Israeli children to have trials at big football clubs.

A talented writer, he wrote two unpublished books in 2006 and 2008, which he tried to promote in England, which was believed to of caught the eye of Robert Rigby. It is also believed the two were very interested in football, and went to the 2008 UEFA Champions League final in Moscow.

No credit is given to him in the books, however it is believed he helped Robert Rigby to write Goal!: Glory Days.
